GEORGIA WISBY

PROFILE INFORMATION

I have worked in the creative industries for over 20 years – Film & TV, events, Independent theatre, window display, museums and educational settings – working for designers, producers, and set decorators etc.  I paint large murals, cloths, sets and props and have done furniture restoration work. I am reliable, hard-working, clean and fast and good at working under deadline pressures (often being called-in at the end of tricky projects when there are creative and practical challenges to overcome!) I love to work collaboratively and as part of a team but also happy being left to complete a project alone.

Recent work includes: ‘Vanity Fair’ (ITV) – Georgian panels, stencilling, dog portrait, restoration of prop horses. ‘Chernobyl’ (Sky/HBO) – murals and paintings ‘in the style’ of Russian artists 1965 – 85.

Recent CPD undertaking the five week course at Scenic Painters to brush-up on scenic painting techniques.  My favourite work is ‘painting in the style of…’ and large mural work.  Clean driving licence with camper-van so will happily travel throughout UK and overseas.  Have worked in Lithuania, France, Thailand and New Zealand.
